This is no longer manufactured. That is why I think this might be used although i'm not sure how the plastic would have gotten ruined like.

In any case, it still works. I'm not sure if this was used.

Its a pretty cool bulb and fits into regular light sockets. The circles that flank part screws into socket have some plastic in there looks irregular although i'm not sure why. This still works.
